With the Presidental election upon us, I told my mom I was undecided, and that my vote was going to the candidate who would take action on our industrialized food system. Mom laughed, and said it was not even an issue on the platform. You know, (much to my surprise), she was right …….. as most moms are. Then a letter by Michael Pollan, addressed to Mr. President Elect, appeared in the NY Times. The letter is called Farmer in Chief , “What the next president can and should do to remake the way we grow and eat our food”. After reading the article, I am getting ready to write my own letter, to Michael Pollan – it will go something like this – “If you ever want to run for the office, you’ve got my vote” Hat Tip to Mark Buensalido for sharing the article.
