2016 Tour de Farms with Slow Food Boston

Slow Food Boston and the Culinary Guild of New England are partnering up to host another Tour de Farms along the southern coast of Massachusetts!  Join us on June 18th for a leisurely 16-mile bike ride and learn about the unique variety of foods that are grown and produced locally in South Dartmouth and Westport.  Participants will get to visit six local food producers along the way, hear from local experts and witness first-hand how good, clean, and fair foods are grown and made in these neighborhoods while enjoying biking alongside scenic pastures and picturesque landscapes.  Cyclists will also get to enjoy a lovely picnic lunch at an organic farm along with an optional beer tasting for $5.Space is limited; registrants will be notified about the bike route, itinerary, and meeting place via email.

at the NRMS Cafeteria
(9am to noon)
on May 7, 14 & 21
 
And moving to the outside location
at 21 Old Colony Way

Raise the Ribb Barn

Help raise the Ribb Barn!

Join the Ribb family and friends for a good old-fashioned barn raising…with a twist! On Saturday, April 30th from 6-9pm at the Chatham VFW, an open-mic night with special guests will be held to support the raising of the Ribb Rakes Barn, which was badly damaged in a fire last year. Enjoy delicious, locally-sourced food & treats, hand-made & one-of-kind raffle items, a cash bar, and a diverse array of talented entertainers at this authentic community gathering, sponsored by the Women of Fishing Families. $15 cover charge. 100% of funds raised will directly benefit the Ribb Rakes Barn.

Evening on the Trap Dock
